vintage brass and coral stick pin.
a stick pin (or tie pin) is a neckwear-controlling device, originally worn by wealthy english gentlemen to secure the folds of their cravats. they were first popularized at the beginning of the 19th century. cravats were made of silk, satin, lace, muslin, and stickpins were necessary accessories to keep these expensive fabrics in place. today, vintage stick pins are a collectable form of antique jewelry that adorn hats, jackets and bags as a sweet and subtle accessory.
*vintage items are pre-loved and therefore may show small signs of wear. i’ve tried my best to be as descriptive as possible with my photos, but please take this into consideration before placing your order.
