olivia's story
i started olivia moray in 2017 but have been making jewelry since i was a little girl, back in west virginia. when hemp chokers were big in the 90's, my older brother's friend taught me how to macrame. when i was as young as 8, i sold my jewelry at local craft fairs, under the name, "olivia's originals." i have always loved design, and received a bachelor's degree in fashion design from west virginia university.
many moons have passed since then -- moving to new york city, and then out west, i am now nestled in dreamy northern california. my designs are inspired by everything around me - the mountains, the trees, the water, and the animals. i worked retail for many beautiful years, but at the end of 2019, i quit my day job to put my full focus on my passion.
making jewelry is major soul work for me -- it is methodical + meditative, providing me with a beautiful creative outlet that i am proud to share. each piece is unique and original, hand made by me at my in-home studio in sebastopol, california.
